Quality Assurance Inspector

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for receiving inspection of vendor products, in-process audits, product audits, and final assembly inspection. Additional responsibilities include the completion and maintenance of associated documents, forms, and records.  This position is physically located in our Lafayette, Indiana facility. 

Responsibilities:
• Inspection of incoming components and assemblies using visual techniques, variable and attribute gauging including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and specialized mechanical inspection equipment including but not limited to height gauges, surface plates, and optical magnifiers.

• Perform Roving Audits per Quality Document 9908023 (Roving Inspection / Audit). This is the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects of a process to maximize the probability that minimum standards of quality are being attained. This includes identifying problems and training operators to better understand how to produce a quality product.

• Inspection of in-process components and sub-assemblies using visual techniques, variable and attribute gauging including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and specialized mechanical inspection equipment including but not limited to height gauges, surface plates, and optical magnifiers.

• Inspection of final product prior to product being released for shipping to the customer.

• Complete and maintain associated records of inspection in both paper and electronic form.

Manufacturing Engineer 

Position Summary:

This position develops and supports the tools, equipment and processes needed to produce Radian’s products.  This position is physically located in our Lafayette, Indiana facility. 

Responsibilities:

1. Learn all aspects of producing Radian built transformers including winder set-up and maintenance.
a. Be liaison between design engineers and production to enhance the manufacturability of new and existing designs.
b. Work with maintenance team to enhance preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance.
2. Develop and maintain test equipment of Printed Circuit Boards
a. Be liaison to designers of test equipment, typically Radian Engineers.
b. Creation and documentation of use and maintenance of test equipment
3. Perform product verification and validation testing.
4. Evaluate Manufacturing process and search for improvements.
5. Investigate equipment needed for the operation.
6. Assist the Production Operators as needed by providing advice and obtaining resources.

Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Position Summary:

Perform all activities related to receiving of incoming materials and shipping of outgoing products. This includes significant computer work, packing of products into appropriate containers and forklift driving. Significant communication with internal and external business contacts is required.  This position is physically located in our Lafayette, Indiana facility. 

Responsibilities:

Receiving:
Unpack, count, transact in corporate database daily receipts of materials and RMAs. Deliver inventory items to KanBan and other inventory storage locations. Replenish KanBan and other inventory storage locations from overflow storage (containers). Coordinate with Production, Quality and Customer Service to accomplish receiving functions.

Shipping:
Pack and ship daily sales orders and RMAs domestically and internationally. Complete all paperwork and file all necessary customs documents to complete shipments to all international customers. Communicate with customer shipping contacts, freight companies and Radian Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service coworkers to accomplish shipping functions. Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Customer Service, coworkers daily to meet customer requirements. Transact finished goods into inventory. Transact parts out of inventory for Sales Orders fulfillment. Provide rate quotes to Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. Maintain shipping materials inventory.

Other:
Coordinate the work of production personnel that may be assisting in the Shipping and Receiving area. Create procedures for shipping & receiving functions. Recommend improvements in equipment, operations or processes. Maintain good employee relations and set good example to fellow coworkers. Other duties as assigned by Supervision or Management.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalency.

Senior Electrical Engineer - Innovation and System Integration

Position Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer - Innovation and System Integration position is a hands-on development engineering position within the RADIAN Innovate business model and the Ideas to Innovation (I2I) development process requiring vast engineering knowledge and rapid prototyping ability. They work closely with Product Management, Field Sales and the Customer to define, develop and deliver a testing solution. They are a highly skilled systems integrator able to apply the necessary technology blocks to form a product solution to meet Customer needs in a timely manner. The technology blocks may be from a variety of existing products or they may be under development by other engineers of which the Senior Electrical Engineer - Innovation and System Integration integrates into a solution to fit the application. They develop and implement scalable technology architectures. They devise possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other options including risk identification, working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project. They analyze customer needs and develop an overall concept and designs with an eye to performance, architecture, safety, security and scalability. From time to time, as needed, engineers and technicians from the R&D Team may be assigned to work with the Senior Electrical Engineer - Innovation and System Integration on a given project. Hardware Design and Test Engineer I2I

Position Summary:

This position involves all aspects of researching, designing, simulating, and testing analog and digital parts, circuits and systems for measurement and testing equipment. The successful candidate will complete tasks in Radian’s New Product Development (NPD) process from initial concepts through production release. They will provide ideas for future product enhancements and provide support for existing products and product lines.  This position is physically located in our Lafayette, Indiana facility. 

Responsibilities:

- Participate on cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to develop new products.
- Produce production documentation for internal production, contract manufacturing
    and/or vendor outsourcing.
- Design, build, prototype, and test new and existing technology for functional
    and economic application in new and existing products.
- Support and design improvements for existing products.
- Contribute to new product development with a focus on design and testing of
    assemblies, subassemblies, electronic circuits including and not limited to data acquisition,
    AC/DC power, serial interface and communication, signal conditioning, level shifting, small
    signal, power electronics, transient protection, and microcontroller/FPGA/DSP interfaces.

Responsible for the Company's Quality System and for maintaining its ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance. Promotes the concept of continuous improvement throughout the company. Supports a formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. Actively works with the Customer Service and Support Team to capture and address quality issues and concerns. Actively works with the Research, Development and Engineering team to ensure that quality is designed into the product. Actively works with the Sales Team and Marketing Team to ensure customer satisfaction. Actively works with the Production Team to define tests and inspections and develop quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process and finished products. Identifies nonconformities, analyzes data, presents graphical representations, and assembles cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. Actively works with Purchasing to address vendor quality issues. This position is physically located in our Lafayette, Indiana facility. 

Responsibilities:

• Keep the President informed of all pertinent information.
• Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Manage and direct the internal Quality Audit Team.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Work with purchasing and vendors on non-conformances.
• Educate employees about quality concepts.
• Participate in new product development teams.
• Plan and design quality assurance programs and processes.
• Be a solution provider and team player.
• Be a champion for quality.
• Maintain ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Work on a multi-departmental team to accomplish project goals
• Recruitment of new personnel as needed.
• Other items as needed.

Education:

BS EE or EET or ME or MET. MS IE or MBA preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years total experience in quality assurance/management with experience in electronics manufacturing. Quality Engineer experience a plus.

Knowledge of:

ISO 9001 Quality System requirements.
Working with manufacturing processes, production, and administration.
