OVERVIEW

The Bantam Plus is the newest and most technologically advanced portable three-phase meter site test solution available for today’s metering professional. This innovative solution supplies a safe, accurate and highly versatile answer to the diverse test requirements of today’s electric metering.

Designed with metering professionals in mind the Bantam Plus is extremely light weight, durable and provides performance second to no other meter site test solution.

Bantam Plus provides functionality and testing capability on-site that until now was only available from less portable meter shop test equipment.

Portable Safe Operation
Bantam Plus is designed with portability, ease of use and safety as a priority. The on board meter socket with auto routing eliminates external cabling and multiple adapters. Less cabling and an automated socket that supports most meter forms provides efficient, safe and error-free testing. The low insertion socket takes minimal effort to insert the meter, and the use of an interlocking switch assures that power is not delivered to the blades until a meter is in place protecting the operator from potentially hazardous voltage. 

Industry Recognized WECO Software
Bantam Plus is equipped with a Windows* Embedded operating system and automated meter test software. WECO software including WATT-Net has long been the standard used by metering shop professionals. This provides the Bantam Plus user with a familiar operator interface and the ability to share measurement data easily with others throughout your metering operation. No need to export data and manipulate with other third party software, as WATT-Net eliminates operator frustration and error. The consolidation of WECO on-site and WATT-Net meter shop software will simplify information transfer and maximize throughput allowing the operator to test more sites per day. Convenient use of Windows* architecture allows a utility to run custom programs on-site to perform tasks including but not limited to meter programming, email and asset management.

Choice of Accuracy Class
The accuracy of the Bantam plus is provided by the choice of an embedded Radian RD-20 (0.04%) or RD-21 (0.02%) Reference Standard. Select the standard that meets your budget and provides the accuracy necessary to confidently test your energy meter requirements.

Ease of Maintenance and Support
Choose the calibration method that best suits your organizations needs. Bantam Plus offers a selection of calibration methods including Radian’s RS automated calibration system, external reference standards compare or back to back Bantam Plus transfer. The new integrated test socket design has no moving parts and is easily removable for routine maintenance.

Simply pull the meter and insert the safety adapter into the exposed meter socket. Adapter faceplate voltage banana sockets provide easy access to service voltage.
